About My Work

I produce hand-made original stained glass decorative pieces. Whether for celebration, commemoration or just for fun, my pieces are like nothing else available today.

Produced in my workshop in rural West Norfolk I make all pieces myself - there is no question of outsourcing to a sweat-shop - and I don’t do ‘patterns’ - each piece is unique. Commissions are available for special occasions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Previous challenges have ranged from the Prince symbol to animal portraits. I only release work which I feel is beautiful - it’s an unusual concept in this day and age but is the only way I’m happy to work.

From selection of the right quality glass to despatching your order, everything gets the personal touch. Glass is a natural, colourful and hard wearing material whose use as a dramatic centre piece has been known and developed over centuries. Initially for religious iconography at costs way beyond the means of the average household to today being available to all at less than the cost of a good meal in a restaurant.

About Me

I was an ‘arty’ child growing up in the 70’s in London and Norfolk, always enthusiastic to draw, paint and create ‘pretty things’. However a career got in the way and it wasn’t until I was made redundant by a major London bank that I took up stained glass work, initially as an interest but very quickly as my full time occupation, business and passion.

I live in and work from a small cottage on a large country Estate. It is not unusual for pheasants to stroll through the garden or the estate owner’s dog to wander over from the ‘big house’ to say “hello” to my dogs. I share the house with two Labradors, three cats, four chickens - oh, and two children!

In the early days of running my business I spent huge amounts of time attending fairs, exhibitions and shows of all descriptions. It was great fun but the internet has revolutionised contact with people who buy my product - I have time to chat on line to discuss requirements and it’s also reduced my carbon footprint by not driving up and down the country to attend shows.

Outside of work I love the local countryside, take an active part in the award winning theatre in the village and read avidly. West Norfolk is a fantastic community for artists and my work benefits from being able to swap ideas with my creative friends and network of likeminded people. I am also a dedicated ‘upcycler’ turning other people’s cast offs into eye catching furniture, clothes or simply creating things of beauty.
